Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a General Liability Defense Attorney with 1-5 years of defense litigation experience to join its growing team. Duties:

• Handle defense litigation cases related to general liability, first-party property, and personal injury.

• Manage a caseload from inception through resolution, including preparing and filing legal documents, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court.

• Collaborate with team members and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal counsel.

• Communicate with clients and keep them informed on case progress.

• Participate in depositions, mediations, and trials.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of defense litigation experience.

• Experience in first-party property and personal injury litigation is preferred.

• Strong communication and legal writing skills.

• Ability to handle multiple cases and work independently.

• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills:

• Knowledge of general liability defense and related areas of law.

• Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritize effectively.

• Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
