Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney to join its team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation experience, particularly in class action defense, and demonstrate exceptional analytical, writing, and organizational skills. This position requires effective communication and managing a diverse and dynamic workload.

Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and promptly reply to correspondence.
• Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations, performing work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including:
  • Working at a computer for extended periods, involving on-screen reading and typing.
  • Participating in digital/virtual conference calls.
  • Attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• JD degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience managing a multi-matter docket.
• Experience with class action defense.
• Experience with complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation.
• Previous federal clerkship is preferred.
