A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney in Kansas City, MO.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will manage various legal matters from inception to conclusion. They must demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing their career in litigation, possess excellent communication skills, and adhere to the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.

Duties:

  • Simultaneously handle high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters at different stages of progression.
  • Produce quality legal work and bill the hours to ensure excellent client services.
  • Manage business and assist in generating business through group and individual efforts.
  • Actively make decisions on client matters with consultation from other attorneys.
  • Appropriately delegate tasks and embrace learning new skills, areas of law, and technology.
  • Cooperatively work as a member of client teams and begin to lead teams in matters.
  • Influence the awareness and adoption of the Firm's values and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Provide solutions and support while demonstrating respect for colleagues and clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • Graduate of a Top 25 law school or graduate in the top 10% of the graduating class from an accredited law school; positions in the law school’s premier law journal are a plus.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Missouri; must maintain applicable license renewal and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.
  • 2 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm or clerking.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm.
