This attorney will provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of renewable energy projects, with a focus on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cells, and a solid understanding of smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. Strong client service skills, interpersonal effectiveness, and clear communication are essential. Applicants must have a JD degree, be an active member in good standing of the Bar, and maintain a portable book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized legal guidance on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage power purchase agreements, facility operation agreements, and other related contracts.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on regulatory compliance, operational issues, and industry best practices.
  • Advise clients on smart grid technology, energy storage systems, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on evolving trends and technologies in the renewable energy sector.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to address legal issues and ensure project success.
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes and challenges associated with renewable energy projects.
  • Build and maintain a portable book of business, demonstrating a robust client base in the renewable energy sector.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy law.
  • Proven track record of a portable book of business.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell technologies.
  • Familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage solutions, and energy efficiency practices.
