A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join a dynamic team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Duties:

  • Represent clients in construction and business law litigation matters, handling all stages of the case.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting for complex litigation cases.
  • Participate in discovery, depositions, and court hearings as needed.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Manage a caseload, ensuring that all deadlines are met and clients are kept informed on case progress.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in construction or business litigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting and filing legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and good standing membership with the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing and research abilities.
  • Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in handling all phases of litigation, including discovery and court appearances.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
