Duties:

  • Collaborate with partners and team members on business restructuring, insolvency, and complex litigation matters.
  • Manage a diverse caseload in bankruptcy, corporate reorganization, and commercial disputes.
  • Assist in case preparation, research, and legal drafting for complex business matters.
  • Appear in court for contested hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Work on legal strategy, advising clients on complex commercial litigation and restructuring issues.
  • Take a proactive role in case management, ensuring all deadlines are met and clients receive timely updates.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior associates and team members.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience with at least 3 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, or complex commercial litigation.
  • Solid understanding of bankruptcy and reorganization practices; eagerness to further develop expertise in this area.
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience with court appearances, contested hearings, and depositions is preferred.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Florida.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize competing demands, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida State Bar.
