General Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for its General Liability practice group in Chattanooga, TN. The successful candidate will possess exceptional legal research, writing, and litigation skills. Location:

• Chattanooga, TN

Duties:

• Conduct file reviews and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
• Perform extensive legal research and draft briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours
• Represent clients regularly in court, at arbitrations, and during depositions
• Draft and respond to discovery requests
• Collaborate with expert witnesses and manage their retention
• Assist with trial preparation and attend trials
• Some travel may be required

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in General Liability
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in Tennessee (admission to other states is a plus but not required)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong work ethic and commitment to professional excellence
• Timely responsiveness to emails and phone inquiries
• Excellent client communication skills and telephone manner

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Tennessee State Bar (admission to other states is a plus but not required)
