Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Oil and Gas Mergers and Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Denver, CO. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in the oil and gas sector.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and other related documents.
  • Conduct due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, including reviewing contracts, financial statements, and other pertinent documents.
  • Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters relevant to oil and gas transactions.
  • Assist clients in structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and legal developments affecting the oil and gas industry.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and meetings with counterparts, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and business growth.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions related to oil and gas transactions.
  • Demonstrated a broad range of experience in transactional matters servicing clients in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in a large law firm or energy boutique firm is preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Colorado license preferred, or ability to obtain one.
  • Must have a J.D. from an accredited law school.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Being licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado is preferred.
