A law firm seeks a dedicated Estate Planning Attorney to join its growing practice in Beaufort, SC. The ideal candidate will handle estate planning, trusts, wills, and elder law cases, collaborating with a skilled team of attorneys and paralegals. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with senior legal professionals in a supportive, client-focused environment.

Duties:

  • Conduct consultations with potential clients to discuss legal options and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Draft legal documents, research applicable laws, and meet with clients to establish their estate planning strategies.
  • Maintain open communication with clients, ensuring their needs are prioritized and addressed effectively.
  • Develop innovative and strategic approaches to resolve clients’ legal challenges.
  • Track and record billable hours accurately for both flat-fee and hourly cases.
  • Travel as necessary to various office locations in the region.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys within the firm to enhance practice areas and deliver exceptional client service.

Requirements:

  • 5–7 years of experience specializing in estate planning.
  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina, with dual licensure in North Carolina preferred.
  • Experience in estate planning, trust/estate administration, Medicaid planning, and long-term care benefits preferred.
  • Litigation experience in guardianship or estate litigation cases is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and track billable time efficiently.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive work ethic and the ability to work independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active law license in South Carolina (CELA certification is a plus).
