Job Overview: A rapidly growing personal injury law firm is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Litigation Attorney to join its legal team in Cincinnati. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing personal injury cases from intake through litigation, providing top-notch legal representation and client care. This role requires exceptional negotiation, communication, and trial preparation skills to ensure successful case outcomes for clients. The position is full-time and in-office, with no remote or hybrid options.

Duties:

  • Conduct medical case reviews and assess claims.
  • Negotiate and settle cases at both pre-litigation and litigation stages.
  • Review policies, claims, and other relevant documents to support case strategy.
  • Draft, write, and argue legal documents, including memos, theory of liability, and demands.
  • Maintain communication with insurance companies to manage medical treatment billing.
  • Provide regular case status updates to clients.
  • Conduct intake meetings with new clients and establish trust.
  • Manage a docket of cases in accordance with firm policies.
  • Attend and conduct Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), and recorded statements.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all matters.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law.
  • Experience in medical malpractice law is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and legal writing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and general office skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written correspondence.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail for case evaluation and action plans.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in-good-standing license to practice law in the state of Ohio.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and trial preparation.
  • Strong negotiation and client communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive client information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
