A law firm seeks a driven Associate Attorney to join its Arkansas-based practice in Little Rock. The firm specializes in real estate and creditors' rights law, providing comprehensive legal services to mortgage servicers, banks, investors, and financial institutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to handle a high volume of cases, make court appearances, and contribute to the firm's growth and reputation.

Duties

  • Manage a substantial caseload in the area of creditors' rights.
  • Handle discovery processes, conduct depositions, and resolve legal conflicts.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, with occasional travel as required.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents related to real estate and creditors' rights litigation.
  • Develop relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders to foster trust and partnership.
  • Contribute to the firm's strategic growth by enhancing its standing as a top-performing legal provider.
  • Stay informed of relevant laws, including TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Engage in appellate work, as needed.

Requirements

  • Active membership in the Arkansas Bar and good standing.
  • Ability to obtain licensing in Arkansas federal district and bankruptcy courts, if not already licensed.
  • At least 5 years of litigation experience is preferred (applications from newly licensed attorneys will be considered).
  • Familiarity with Arkansas legal systems, discovery practices, and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Courtroom experience and a willingness to travel for court appearances.
  • Commitment to providing superior client service and exercising sound legal judgment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Arkansas State Bar.
  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
