Duties

• Manage day-to-day case operations, ensuring ethical and responsible handling of all assigned cases.
• Track and meet critical deadlines, including answer deadlines and discovery deadlines.
• Draft legal documents such as answers, discovery responses, and production requests.
• Supervise and provide clear instructions to support staff, including nurses, paralegals, and secretaries.
• Conduct and cover depositions, preparing comprehensive reports afterward.
• Communicate with expert witnesses to provide case updates and gather insights.
• Analyze medical records to assist with case preparation and organize materials for expert review.
• Prepare for trial, including developing strategies, reviewing evidence, and collaborating with team members.
• Attend and represent clients during trials.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-4 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense.
• Ability to handle cases autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills to track deadlines and manage case progress effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical skills to review medical records and prepare materials for expert witnesses.
• Trial preparation and courtroom advocacy experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Georgia.
