A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a skilled Junior to Mid-level Tax and Benefits Transactional Tax Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate should have solid transactional tax experience with exposure to international issues, significant work in the private equity industry and the fund world, strong academic credentials, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Currently being in the process of earning an LL.M. in taxation is required. Law firm experience is preferred, but large accounting firm experience will also be considered.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support on transactional tax matters.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis.
  • Draft and review tax-related documents and agreements.
  • Assist with tax planning and structuring for various transactions.
  • Analyze tax implications of business transactions.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and clients on tax-related matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist with international tax planning and compliance.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Currently in the process of earning an LL.M. in taxation.
  • Strong transactional tax experience with exposure to international issues.
  • Significant work in the private equity industry and the fund world.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Law firm experience preferred, but large accounting firm experience will also be considered.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Currently in the process of earning an LL.M. in taxation.

 

Certifications:

Admittance to the State Bar of Pennsylvania (preferred but not required).

  • Strong understanding of international tax issues.
  • Experience in the private equity industry and the fund world.

  • Ability to conduct tax research and analysis.
