A law firm in Englewood, CO, is seeking a skilled Workers Compensation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, organizational abilities, and knowledge of Workers’ Compensation laws and procedures. They will be responsible for managing a caseload, attending hearings and depositions, and communicating effectively with clients.

 

Duties:

  • Utilize litigation skills for administrative court appearances and expert depositions.
  • Manage a large caseload of Workers' Compensation cases.
  • File pleadings and motions, including objections and Division Independent Medical Exam applications.
  • Attend Workers' Compensation hearings and depositions.
  • Complete written discovery and respond to requests.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in case-management software.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding case progress.
  • Perform administrative tasks as necessary to support case management.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Colorado or eligibility for admission.
  • Solid foundation in litigation skills and Workers' Compensation laws.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high caseload efficiently.

 

Certifications:

Colorado State Bar membership or eligibility.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting motions and pleadings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Competency in case-management software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
