Duties:

• Represent individuals facing criminal charges across local, state, and federal courts

• Participate in strategic planning sessions and client consultations

• Attend and advocate at arraignments, pretrial hearings, and other legal proceedings

• Draft legal motions and court filings with precision and clarity

• Perform in-depth case evaluations, utilizing relevant statutes and legal precedents

• Conduct interviews with witnesses, clients, and subject matter experts

• Develop evidence-based defense strategies aligned with each client’s case

• Prepare clients for deposition and trial proceedings

• Collaborate effectively with in-house legal assistants and fellow attorneys on shared cases

• Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients throughout the legal process

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in criminal defense law

• Demonstrated ability to manage high-stakes, complex criminal cases

• Proficiency in trial preparation and courtroom representation

• Excellent legal writing and research skills

• Commitment to delivering high-quality, empathetic legal support

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Active license to practice law in the state of California

Certifications:

• California Bar admission (required)

Skills:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, not required)
