Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced Alcohol and Distribution Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in alcohol beverage law, related regulatory experience, and a solid commercial corporate law foundation, including mergers and acquisitions. Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and guidance on alcohol beverage laws and regulations.
• Advise clients on compliance with federal and state alcohol distribution laws.
• Assist with licensing, regulatory filings, and other compliance requirements.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on alcohol and distribution regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to alcohol distribution and commercial corporate transactions.
• Handle mergers and acquisitions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to manage complex legal matters.
• Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
• Develop and implement strategies to address legal risks and opportunities for clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting the alcohol and distribution industry.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in alcohol beverage law or related regulatory experience (FDA/food).
• Proven commercial corporate background with experience in mergers and acquisitions.
• Admission to practice law in California.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload with competing demands and work well under pressure.
• Proven ability to independently manage legal matters or significant segments of large/complex cases.
• Ability to provide practical legal advice and analysis based on risk assessment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.
