Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice on property and casualty insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation and claims disputes.
  • Handle complex insurance coverage matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and effectively representing clients' interests.
  • Address bad faith insurance issues, including investigations, negotiations, and litigation as necessary.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including coverage opinions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and resolve insurance-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers to manage and resolve claims.
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently on client matters, demonstrating strong client service and a proactive approach.
  • Utilize federal clerkship or state appellate clerkship experience (if applicable) to enhance legal strategies and case management.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in insurance coverage law, with a strong understanding of property and casualty insurance issues.
  • Experience in handling bad faith insurance matters is preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Federal clerkship or state appellate clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Admission to practice in Georgia is preferred, but the firm will consider strong candidates seeking to relocate to Atlanta.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
