Job Overview:
A growing law firm in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with at least 1 year of personal injury litigation experience. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of experienced litigation attorneys, managing plaintiff personal injury cases from the claim process through litigation and trial. Duties:

  • Manage plaintiff personal injury caseloads from the claim process through litigation and trial.
  • Negotiate and communicate effectively with insurance companies and defense counsel.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients throughout the litigation process.
  • Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other required materials.
  • Conduct and defend depositions as part of the discovery process.
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials.
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations while managing cases.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and improve case outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of personal injury litigation experience.
  • Active license to practice law in Missouri (required).
  • Active license to practice in Kansas (preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service and achieving positive results.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Missouri (required).
  • Kansas Bar license (preferred).

Skills:
