Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate Attorney or Counsel to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in executive compensation matters and expertise in various aspects of employee benefits law.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on various employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
  • Draft and review executive compensation agreements, qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, equity compensation plans, and health and welfare plans.
  • Assist in designing and implementing employee benefit plans, including compliance with ERISA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to employee benefits and executive compensation issues.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to address client needs effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience practicing law, focusing on employee benefits and executive compensation.
  • Extensive experience in executive compensation matters is essential.
  • A strong understanding of qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation, equity compensation, health and welfare plans, mergers and acquisitions, ERISA, and ESOPs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent academic record from a reputable law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
