Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join their team. The position offers flexibility for remote or hybrid work, providing a dynamic opportunity for an attorney with a minimum of five years of experience in workers' compensation defense. This role focuses on defending employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation cases.

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation defense matters, primarily for employers and insurance carriers.
• Manage a caseload from inception to resolution, including handling hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients on workers' compensation issues and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Coordinate with experts, adjusters, and other professionals to build a strong case.
• Negotiate settlements and work toward favorable resolutions for clients.
• Maintain regular client communication and provide updates on case developments.
• Stay current with developments in workers' compensation law and adjust strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in California Workers' Compensation Defense.
• In-depth knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Strong litigation and trial experience.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
