Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Business/Real Estate Attorney to join its team in Corpus Christi, TX. This full-time, on-site position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in handling a wide variety of transactional matters. The ideal candidate will bring at least 7 years of experience in business and real estate law, demonstrating a proactive approach to client matters and a focus on providing strategic legal solutions.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and documents related to real estate and business transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence on acquisitions, mergers, zoning, environmental issues, and title matters.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and provide sound legal guidance throughout the transaction process.
  • Manage business transactions from inception through closing, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advise clients on risk management, contract enforcement, and dispute resolution strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, investors, sellers, and purchasers to develop and review agreements.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and legal changes affecting the real estate and business sectors.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business and/or real estate law.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Experience with business structuring, entity formation, and governance.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
  • Board certification in relevant areas of law such as Commercial Real Estate Law, Residential Real Estate, Farm and Ranch Real Estate Law, Construction Law, and/or Property Owners Association Law is preferred but not required.
