Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients in family law, probate, and estate planning matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive analyses to support client cases.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, including estate planning paperwork and legal pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and settlements.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff in managing caseload and client relations.
  • Continuously stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance and effective representation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active and valid license to practice law in Illinois.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in family law, probate, and estate planning.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research, writing, and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Experience in litigating family law cases and negotiating settlements.
  • Proficient with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must hold an active license to practice law in Illinois.
