Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Sacramento is seeking a Litigation Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join their team. The candidate will have significant client contact and immediate responsibility for cases. They must be comfortable working with various technology platforms and programs, with experience in trust and estate litigation being a plus.

Duties:

• Have significant client contact and immediate responsibility for cases.
• Utilize technology platforms such as Microsoft Office and Outlook, with familiarity with Clio Manage and other knowledge-based software being a plus.
• Appear in person and remotely for client hearings, meetings, and other events throughout Northern California.
• Take ownership of assigned cases and communicate all needs with the team effectively.
• Navigate the judicial process using proper procedures.
• Bill for all time to meet or exceed the billable hour requirement.
• Attend mediations and trials.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery.
• Draft and respond to law and motion matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in the California State Bar.
• 2+ years of experience in litigation.
• Comfortable working with various technology platforms and programs.
• Experience in trust and estate litigation is a plus.
