A law firm seeks a dedicated and dynamic Associate Immigration Attorney to join its Columbus office. This position offers the opportunity to assist a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies to individuals seeking asylum protection, and to work on a variety of immigration matters, including employment-based, family-based, and litigation cases. Duties

  • Counsel and represent clients on immigration matters, including visa applications, green card filings, and naturalization processes.
  • Handle litigation cases by representing clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
  • Conduct legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Work directly with businesses, families, and individuals to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and support staff to provide top-tier legal services.
  • Advocate for clients during hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Stay informed about changes in immigration law and apply them to case strategies.

Requirements

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar licensure in any U.S. state.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse clients.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a recognized law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Exceptional advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex fact patterns and legal issues.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Fluency in Spanish or other foreign languages is a plus but not required.
