Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing legal team in Plano, Texas. Duties

  • Conduct client consultations and assess treatment needs.
  • Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests.
  • Prepare and file legal petitions related to personal injury claims.
  • Draft and deliver appropriate demand letters and negotiate settlements with opposing parties.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files for ongoing personal injury cases.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, collect case information, and address inquiries.
  • Coordinate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other entities to gather necessary documents and evidence.
  • Prepare trial materials and actively litigate cases that progress to trial.
  • Stay current on developments and changes in personal injury law and related legal fields.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law, with litigation experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury law and the litigation process.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting, including petitions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload, ranging from 75-150 cases.
  • Proven experience handling trial cases, with a focus on achieving successful outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of federal law and experience in related legal fields is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
