Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Briefing and Research Attorney to support trial attorneys in case preparation. This role involves conducting in-depth legal research, drafting key legal documents, and assisting in trial preparation for personal injury cases. Duties

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support trial strategies

  • Prepare discovery requests and responses, pleadings, motions, and responses to motions

  • Assist trial attorneys with deposition preparation and legal analysis

  • Provide support during trial proceedings, including preparing case materials and legal arguments

  • Collaborate with legal teams to develop strategies for case progression

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant case law and statutory changes

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and legal research skills

  • Exceptional writing and communication abilities

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments

  • Previous customer service or sales experience is a plus, particularly with after-hours on-call availability

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Must hold an active Texas Bar License and be in good standing
