A law firm seeks an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join their team in Oklahoma City. This full-time position offers the opportunity to handle complex personal injury cases, providing clients with top-tier legal representation from initial assignment through to settlement. The ideal candidate will be adept at case strategy development, legal research, client communication, and representing clients in court and legal proceedings. The role involves working collaboratively with a team of attorneys and case managers to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.

Duties

  • Develop and implement legal strategies for personal injury cases, including discovery, investigation, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in court and before various legal agencies, advocating for their interests.
  • Research legal precedents, applicable laws, and remedies relevant to personal injury cases.
  • Draft and submit documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct and manage discovery, hearings, depositions, oral arguments, and mediations as necessary.
  • Meet and communicate with clients to ensure understanding of case status and legal proceedings.
  • Negotiate settlements for cases when appropriate, aiming for favorable outcomes.
  • Guide personal injury case managers and support staff on assigned cases.
  • Collaborate with the attorney team and other firm members to ensure seamless case management.
  • Ensure all legal work complies with applicable standards, regulations, and firm protocols.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to case management and practice operations.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Proven trial experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and legal professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide leadership when needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal injury law and the litigation process.
  • Capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable settlements for clients.
  • Commitment to ethical legal practices and maintaining client confidentiality.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in the state of Oklahoma.
