Products Liability Associate

Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate to join its Product Liability & Mass Torts Group. The firm is looking for a candidate in their 2nd to 4th year of practice with experience in handling product liability and mass tort matters. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of legal tasks, including written discovery, depositions, court appearances, and client communication, while contributing to the firm’s dynamic and diverse work culture.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Propound and respond to written discovery demands
• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in court appearances and oral arguments
• Draft briefs, client status reports, and legal correspondence
• Communicate directly with clients to help advance their goals
• Assist in case management, strategy, and legal research
• Potential second-chair trial experience

Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing in New York
• 2nd to 4th year associate experience
• Experience with premises liability and product liability
• Strong academic record and professional skills
• Ability to manage a high volume of work
• Available for client meetings and queries
• Ability to work effectively and directly with clients

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in New York

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and analytical skills
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Highly organized with a detail-oriented approach
• Ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in deposition and motion practice is a plus
