Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a talented and experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a strong background in written discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings and substantive motions, attending mediations and court appearances, and assisting at trial. This role requires a strong academic record, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducted and managed all phases of litigation, from initial investigation through trial and appeal.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct written discovery and take depositions.
  • Perform legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Attend mediations, court appearances, and trials.
  • Assist senior attorneys in preparing cases for trial, including developing case strategies and evidence presentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates and paralegals.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Proven experience in written discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings, and substantive motions.
  • Experience attending mediations and court appearances.
  • Previous experience assisting at trial.
  • Strong academic record from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for immediate admission.

Skills:
