A reputable law firm in Pittsford, NY is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney specializing in family law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex matrimonial and family law matters, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload, provide strategic legal counsel, and lead negotiation efforts on behalf of clients. Duties:

• Represent clients in matrimonial and family law cases including divorce, custody, spousal support, child support, equitable distribution, and domestic violence.
• Advise clients on their legal rights and options, providing clear and empathetic guidance throughout the process.
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements.
• Lead negotiations, aiming for amicable resolutions while protecting clients’ interests.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide ongoing strategic counsel.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, offering guidance on case management and quality control.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and client needs are addressed efficiently.
• Stay current on family law developments, conduct legal research, and attend relevant legal seminars or conferences.
• Support business development initiatives by networking and promoting the firm’s services.
• Perform administrative duties related to billing, case documentation, and compliance with legal regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in New York State.
• At least 5 years of experience in matrimonial or family law, with significant trial experience.
• Strong expertise in divorce law, custody issues, and related family law matters.
• Proven track record of providing excellent client service and managing complex legal cases.
• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
• An active member in good standing with the New York State Bar Association.
