Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with partners and team members to provide expert legal counsel on government contracts performance issues.
  • Litigate Contract Disputes Act (CDA) claims, bid protests, and False Claims Act (FCA) cases effectively.
  • Support and manage internal and government investigations related to government contracts.
  • Review, analyze, and negotiate contract and subcontract agreements, including FAR and DFARS flow-downs.
  • Conduct general research and writing to support the department’s full scope government contracts practice.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, demonstrating a high level of client service and communication.
  • Engage in business development and networking activities to generate new client opportunities and expand the firm's reach.
  • Utilize technical skills to address complex government contracts issues and provide solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5-9 years of experience in government contracts law, with a strong focus on performance issues, litigation, and investigations.
  • Prior experience with a law firm specializing in government contracts is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle CDA claims, bid protests, and FCA cases.
  • Experience in reviewing and negotiating contract and subcontract agreements, including familiarity with FAR and DFARS.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
