The role involves handling property and casualty claims, representing clients in litigation, and engaging in all aspects of case management from legal research to court appearances. The ideal candidate should have 7-10 years of experience in civil litigation and property and casualty claims, with a strong background in first-party property litigation.

Location:

  • Maitland, FL

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, including complaints, responses to motions, and summary judgments.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
  • Prepare and attend depositions.
  • Handle discovery, including responding to and preparing discovery documents and resolving discovery issues.
  • Attend court hearings and represent clients in first-party property litigation cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on property and casualty claims.
  • Strong knowledge of first-party litigation practices.
  • Passed the Florida Bar and licensed to practice in the state.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish) are preferred.
  • Ability to handle all aspects of case management independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
