Job Overview
A distinguished law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Partner with a strong background in trial law. The ideal candidate should have over 8 years of hands-on experience in handling personal injury and automobile negligence cases, with a proven track record of successful jury verdicts. This role offers the opportunity to manage high-volume litigation caseloads and play a key role in shaping legal strategies across various matters.

Duties

• Manage a high-volume caseload from inception to trial and appeal, working both independently and with supervision
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery demands
• Take depositions, make court appearances, and engage in motion practice and expert retention
• Develop and execute litigation strategies in coordination with internal teams and clients
• Analyze medical records and insurance policies, providing detailed coverage opinions
• Conduct legal research and review jury verdict searches
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring compliance with client guidelines
• Ensure all deadlines are met and maintain accurate billable hours records
• Mentor junior associates, providing guidance and delegating tasks as needed

Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in defense litigation, particularly personal injury and automobile negligence
• Proven trial experience with at least ten (10) jury verdicts
• Experience with UM/UIM, PIP, and other civil actions
• Strong background in handling high-volume clients and litigation cases
• Expertise in negotiations, arbitrations, and mediations for case settlements
• Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills
• Admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Court for the District of New York (additional admissions in NY, PA, and/or CT are a plus)
• Additional federal court experience is preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York
• Federal Court admission is a plus
