Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced and highly skilled Trusts & Estates Attorney to lead its newly established Trusts & Estates Practice Group. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated estate and tax planning matters while contributing to a collaborative and professional legal environment. Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive estate and tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and multi-generational families.

• Draft complex estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and a variety of trusts (GST Trusts, GRATs, SLATs, and charitable trusts).

• Provide guidance on income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax laws.

• Oversee complex trust and probate administration matters.

• Advise clients on business succession planning and charitable giving strategies.

• Conduct legal research and analyze intricate state and federal tax laws.

• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to provide strategic legal counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.

• Active New York law license in good standing.

• Proven track record with a portable book of business of at least $400,000.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
