A law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join their Immigration Practice. The role involves client interaction, case management, and collaboration with a supportive team of legal professionals. As an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney, you will report directly to senior attorneys, handling a variety of immigration-related cases while contributing to the success of the firm.

Duties:

  • Explain complex immigration concepts to clients and provide strategic legal solutions
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
  • Manage and prioritize a caseload effectively, ensuring all deadlines and client needs are met
  • Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at immigration centers
  • Prepare and file various immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense
  • Review and make necessary revisions to immigration applications and supporting documents
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding immigration law changes
  • Meet with potential clients to discuss immigration strategies and determine the best course of action
  • Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings or USCIS interviews
  • Draft legal briefs and provide analysis for a range of immigration cases
  • Work in close collaboration with the immigration team and contribute to the firm’s overall success

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of experience in Immigration Law
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven track record of managing legal cases effectively
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR proceedings, Detained Cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications
  • Familiarity with case management software is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the CA State Bar

Skills:

  • Immigration Law expertise, particularly in removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
