Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a motivated and skilled Litigation Associate Attorney focusing on insurance defense to join their team in Richmond, VA. Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, hearings, and trials.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend court appearances, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Develop case strategies and assess risks to provide legal advice to clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters.
• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines.
• Engage in client communication to provide updates and address legal questions.
• Participate in business development and networking activities to promote the firm’s services.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• 1-3 years of prior insurance defense experience.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or higher from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Virginia State Bar membership.
