A law firm is seeking a Private Clients, Trusts, and Estates Associate Attorney to join its team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be experienced in advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices on complex estate planning and trust matters. This role involves drafting various estate planning documents, researching tax implications, and directly communicating with clients to meet their goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices on estate planning and trust matters.
• Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and ancillary estate planning documents.
• Research and project tax implications of various estate planning techniques.
• Prepare client educational materials and summaries.
• Meet and communicate directly with clients to advance their estate planning goals.
• Implement and administer sophisticated lifetime and testamentary planning strategies.
• Handle estate and trust administration, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to develop effective planning solutions.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in estate planning and trust matters.
• Proven experience drafting, implementing, and administering estate planning documents and strategies.
• Experience in handling estate and trust administration.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Illinois.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of estate planning, trust law, and tax implications.
• Excellent drafting and legal writing skills.
