A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Mid-Level Copyright Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Denver, CO office. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, particularly in copyright litigation, with a strong understanding of how technology intersects with copyright law. Duties:

  • Manage and litigate complex copyright cases, especially those related to technology and digital platforms.
  • Draft and file legal documents including motions, legal memoranda, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, court proceedings, and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on copyright law, technology, and emerging digital issues.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on copyright issues and guide them through ongoing legal challenges.
  • Work with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and provide support on high-profile cases.
  • Ensure effective communication with clients, keeping them informed and addressing their concerns.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of law firm experience focused on copyright litigation and intellectual property matters.
  • Experience handling litigation involving technology and a strong understanding of the intersection of copyright law and emerging digital technologies.
  • A formal technical background is preferred but not required.
  • Strong academic credentials with a proven ability to handle complex legal issues.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Admission to the state bar where you are practicing (California preferred; other jurisdictions are a plus).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar of the jurisdiction where you are practicing (California preferred).

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of copyright law, especially in technology-related cases.
  • Experience in drafting and arguing motions, legal briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Strong research and legal analysis skills, particularly in copyright and technology law.
