Business Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Austin is seeking a Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be engaged in all facets of business litigation matters, including strategy development, client interactions, and stand-up advocacy. This role requires a candidate with outstanding academic credentials, strong advocacy skills, and experience in discovery and trial preparation at a large law firm. An entrepreneurial mindset and Texas Bar admission or eligibility to waive in or sit for the next exam are required.

Duties:

• Develop and implement litigation strategies for business disputes, including commercial and corporate matters.
• Handle client interactions, providing legal advice and updates on case progress.
• Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, and managing document production.
• Prepare for and participate in trial preparation, including drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court, engaging in stand-up advocacy and presenting cases effectively.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies and solutions.
• Manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Participate in client meetings, depositions, and other litigation-related activities.
• Stay informed about legal developments and changes in business litigation.

Requirements:

• JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials with a demonstrated record of excellence.
• 2-4 years of experience in business litigation, with a focus on discovery and trial preparation at a large law firm.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with a proven ability to handle complex litigation matters.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to case management and client service.
• Texas Bar admission or eligibility to waive in or sit for the next exam.

Education:

• JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Texas Bar or eligibility to waive in or sit for the next exam.
