The attorney will guide employers and their international employees through nonimmigrant work visa processes, ensuring compliance and delivering strategic legal solutions. Duties

  • Develop and implement legal strategies for nonimmigrant work visa matters, including L-1, TN, H-1B, E-1, E-2, and E-3 visas.
  • Advise clients on immigration impacts of corporate restructuring, policy changes, or legal developments.
  • Provide guidance on B-1 business visitor issues, travel concerns, and F-1 OPT/CPT matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather supporting documentation for visa applications.
  • Prepare and file visa applications with government agencies.
  • Respond to Requests for Evidence issued by government entities.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on immigration law changes.
  • Offer training to clients on immigration compliance issues.
  • Review and approve employment-based immigration filings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment-based immigration as an attorney.
  • Proficiency in preparing nonimmigrant work visa applications and petitions.
  • Understanding of PERM Labor Certification, nonimmigrant status, and I-140/Adjustment of Status processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and client responsiveness.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
