Litigation Attorney

A law firm in San Rafael, CA is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their team. The role involves handling all aspects of litigation support, including trial preparation, discovery, depositions, motions, and court appearances, while collaborating closely with Partners in a supportive environment.

Job Duties:

• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis of legal issues.
• Assist in trial preparation, including witness preparation and evidence gathering.
• Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and mediations.
• Work closely with Partners and senior attorneys on case assignments.
• Maintain communication with clients and provide updates on case progress.
• Handle case management responsibilities, including file organization and document management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
• 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on civil litigation.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, rules of evidence, and court practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
