Job Overview: A law firm specializing in Social Security Disability law seeks a dedicated Social Security Disability Attorney to manage and advocate for clients throughout the disability claims process. The ideal candidate will handle a caseload from initial intake to hearings, demonstrating expertise in legal strategy, client advocacy, and procedural compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Personally manage a caseload of Social Security disability cases, guiding clients from initial consultation through all stages of representation.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to paralegals handling Social Security disability cases.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and summaries of medical records and other case-related documents.
  • Prepare comprehensive briefs, motions, and requests for on-the-record decisions to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Prepare clients for hearings and represent them before Administrative Law Judges, presenting opening statements, conducting examinations, and cross-examining witnesses.
  • Maintain active involvement in all aspects of client representation, including case development, hearings, and appellate advocacy.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be licensed and in good standing with any state bar.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing Social Security Disability Law.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including empathy and effective client interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving the lives of clients facing disability challenges.
  • Familiarity with Social Security regulations, POMS, HALLEX, and related legal matters.
