Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A dynamic and growing litigation team in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of experience to support a broad range of civil and commercial litigation matters. The practice spans across multiple states and includes appearances in trial courts, appellate courts, administrative proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.

Location

• Jacksonville, Florida

Duties

• Represent clients in litigation across various state and federal courts

• Manage all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation

• Provide legal counsel to clients on a range of matters including business disputes, real estate litigation, construction law, environmental issues, labor and employment, and family law

• Draft motions, memoranda, legal briefs, and correspondence

• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and depositions

• Work closely with partners and clients on case strategy and litigation management

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and legal developments

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in litigation (civil, commercial, or related fields)

• Excellent legal writing, advocacy, and research skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Self-starter with initiative and ability to handle cases with limited supervision

• Prior experience in any of the firm’s focus areas is preferred

• Portable book of business is a plus but not required

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida (required)
