Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney for their New York City, NY location.

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney will be instrumental in managing intellectual property matters, specifically patent and/or trade secret litigation, and providing strategic counsel to clients.

Duties:

• Represent clients in intellectual property litigation cases, with a focus on patent and/or trade secret disputes.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and client advisement.
• Prepare and draft various legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and client communications.
• Engage actively in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners to develop effective case strategies and manage client relationships.
• Provide legal guidance and assistance to clients on a wide range of intellectual property issues.

Requirements:

• Admission to a State Bar is mandatory.
• Strong academic background in law and undergraduate studies is preferred.
• Preferred undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property matters, particularly in patent and/or trade secret litigation.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, leadership skills, and eagerness to assume increased responsibilities.
• Exceptional research and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of legal and business principles relevant to intellectual property cases.

Education/Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to a State Bar.
