Location:

Duties:

  • Manage case load effectively while overseeing and coordinating with paralegals and law clerks.
  • Interview and meet with clients, gather facts, and request documentation.
  • Draft, proofread, review, and edit legal documents, such as formal discovery requests, motions, memoranda, deposition summaries, and medical record summaries.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings, ensuring thorough preparation for each.
  • Summarize and utilize medical records to prove damages and/or coverage in personal injury cases.
  • Meet deadlines and comply with court or administrative body requirements.
  • Ensure all work complies with professional and ethical standards as per relevant bar associations or supreme court rules.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Kentucky Bar (Ohio Bar a plus).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of state-specific personal injury laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Kentucky or Ohio Bar license.

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and document drafting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading and editing abilities.
  • Experience attending and preparing for depositions and hearings.
