Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking a Senior Advice & Counsel Associate or Of Counsel with a strong background in employment law, specifically with 7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in counseling employers on day-to-day employment matters, drafting and reviewing employment policies, handling ADA and FMLA issues, drafting employment contracts, providing management and employee training, and conducting workplace investigations. This role requires a proactive and independent professional with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Duties:

  • Counsel employers on day-to-day employment issues
  • Draft and review employment policies and procedures
  • Handle ADA and FMLA matters
  • Draft employment contracts
  • Provide management and employee training
  • Conduct workplace investigations
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • 7 years of employment law experience
  • Prior experience in providing advice and counseling on employment law matters
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Admission to the California Bar

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar required
