Job Overview:
An established law firm is seeking an experienced attorney specializing in estate planning, probate, and guardianship. This position offers seasoned attorneys an opportunity to focus on their passion while enjoying industry-leading benefits in a supportive environment.

Location: Houston, TX

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee trust and estate planning matters, including drafting wills and trusts
  • Handle all aspects of probate and estate administration to ensure compliance
  • Provide legal advice on estate planning, wealth preservation, and probate litigation
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal documents
  • Represent clients in court proceedings as necessary
  • Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Bar admission in Texas
  • 2-10 years of experience in trust and estate planning and probate matters
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant state and federal laws and regulations
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Interest in conducting hearings and mediations

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel, Clio (preferred but not required)
  • 6+ years of experience in probate, wills, and guardianship administration

Certifications:

  • Texas Bar License
