Job Overview:

Seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney to join a high-volume plaintiff personal injury law firm in Philadelphia. The position involves working closely with managing attorneys and paralegals, handling complex civil litigation cases, and taking ownership of files to move them towards resolution or trial.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee a personal injury litigation caseload.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and prepare for motion hearings.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients effectively in mediations or court.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar (New Jersey Bar preferred).
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research and case law/statutory analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to write high-quality briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and mediation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently while meeting deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to Pennsylvania State Bar (required). Admission to New Jersey State Bar (preferred).

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Bar.
  • New Jersey Bar license is a plus.
