Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to manage high-volume caseloads in collection and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will excel in written, analytical, and oral advocacy, demonstrating initiative and professionalism while working in a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

  • Oversee breach of contract and collection litigation matters from demand through judgment.
  • Prepare and present Motions for Summary Judgment.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, both telephonically and in person.
  • Manage assigned caseload to meet client expectations and performance goals.
  • Address escalated and urgent legal matters as required.
  • Collaborate on special projects and perform additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • Experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is advantageous.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research using diverse sources.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
