Job Overview

The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel on matters such as data breach response, cybersecurity, data privacy regulations, and litigation. Duties

  • Provide counsel on security incidents and data breach responses.
  • Advise clients on compliance with state and federal data privacy and cybersecurity laws.
  • Assist with investigations by regulatory agencies, including state Attorneys General and federal entities like the U.S. Office for Civil Rights.
  • Coordinate forensic investigations and develop mitigation strategies in response to cyberattacks.
  • Counsel clients on data mapping, privacy, and security plans for enterprises.
  • Work on technology contracts and compliance with emerging state data privacy laws.
  • Represent clients in data privacy and cybersecurity litigation, including drafting motions, managing discovery, and attending court hearings.
  • Collaborate with the firm's team on issues related to artificial intelligence and its legal implications.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of legal experience in the areas of cybersecurity and data privacy.
  • Strong background in forensic data breach response.
  • Experience with federal and state privacy regulations and enforcement actions.
  • Ability to manage litigation matters such as drafting briefs, depositions, and discovery.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Connecticut.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Bar in Connecticut (mandatory).
